We select rich burgundy grained first-layer cowhide to create the bag frame, handles and accessories, and match it with the intangible cultural heritage Pipa Baoxianghua Song brocade to create this wedding and festive national style mini tote bag. The whole body of the bag is hand-woven with deep burgundy Song brocade with Pipa Baoxiang flowers. The multi-color silk threads are intertwined in rich layers. The Pipa and Baoxiang flower pattern brings with it the festive charm of the Tang Dynasty. The silk fabric is soft, warm and elegant. It is paired with double handles of same-color cowhide, a detachable thin wrist strap and a butterfly cowhide pendant. The side buckle can be added with a wide shoulder strap for cross-body wear. There are multiple compartments inside the bag for neat and orderly storage. The square and compact tote style is suitable for Chinese wedding dresses, cheongsams, wedding banquets, holiday greetings, and daily commuting. The pipa symbolizes the constant companionship of joy and happiness in all things, and the precious flower represents blooming wealth, complete blessings, and the superposition of double auspicious patterns. Song brocade is a royal brocade material of the Song Dynasty. It has a rich cultural heritage and shows gentleness, joy, and nobility. It has excellent meaning as a wedding souvenir, a newlywed gift, the birthday of an elder, a New Year gift, and a gift for Goddess's Day.
Song brocade is one of China's four famous brocades and a national intangible cultural heritage. It relies on the unique weaving technique of opening the warp and breaking the weft. In ancient times, it was exclusively used by the court nobles. Its patterns are complex and exquisite, and it is known as the "Crown of Brocades". The Pipa Baoxianghua is a classic festive and auspicious pattern originating from Dunhuang in the Tang Dynasty: the pipa has symbolized worry-free joy and happiness all year round since ancient times; the Baoxianghua combines the shapes of lotus and peony to imply long-term wealth and a happy family; the burgundy color is a traditional auspicious color for Chinese weddings and festivals, representing prosperity and good fortune. The craftsmen restored the festive Song brocade pattern of the Tang Dynasty palace, using a rich burgundy base, matched with rich and colorful floral silk threads, and combined with the modern mini tote bag shape to weaken the heavy feeling of traditional brocade and adapt to the daily life of modern women. The weaving process of the entire Song Dynasty brocade is cumbersome, with multi-color silk threads being repeatedly changed to create jacquard lines. The construction period of a single piece of brocade is long, and each piece of brocade has a unique texture. It has both intangible cultural heritage collection value and daily practical properties for weddings.
