Since ancient times, Baoxianghua has symbolized peace, completeness, and long-term wealth. In ancient times, the brocade material was mostly used for harem clothing, treasure brocade boxes, and jewelry wrappers. Nowadays, it has been transformed into a national-style good thing that can be carried with you. It is gentle and elegant for personal use. Giving as a gift means everything is perfect and good luck always blooms.
The Su Di Universiade brocade originated from Suzhou Weaving House in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It has the same origin as the Song brocade. It is a high-end brocade used by the royal family in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The green feather streamer color is taken from the intangible cultural heritage jewelry of the Qing Dynasty. The ancients took the color of kingfisher feathers and incorporated it into the brocade, so it is called Cuiyu brocade. Baoxianghua evolved from a mixture of lotus and peony. It is a classic auspicious pattern in palaces and Buddhist halls, symbolizing perfect health and prosperity. In ancient times, the emerald-color brocade materials were expensive and could only be used by the royal family, princes and nobles. The entire brocade went through more than 20 ancient processes including silk reeling, dyeing with grass and wood, cross-stitching, and hand-weaving on a wooden machine. The old wooden loom could only weave a few centimeters of brocade surface in one day. The emerald blue silk thread had complex colors and the fabric was scarce in mass production. The designer dug deep into the brocade passed down by the Suzhou Weaving Bureau, restored the lost jade feather treasure pattern, and concentrated the jade-colored Universiade brocade hidden deep in the palace on a square-inch phone case, bringing the thousand-year palace brocade into modern daily life.
