Intangible Heritage Craft Points

Heritage textile details, finishing notes and limited-batch positioning for the luxury product template.

Master Qian Xiaoping, the master of Song brocade, was selected to supervise the restoration of the intangible cultural heritage Song brocade fabric, with natural mulberry silk mixed with colorful gilt threads and a reproduction of the classic black-bottomed unicorn entwined branch Song brocade pattern. In the center is a unicorn with its head held high, surrounded by a patterned border and wishful curly grass. The unicorn has been an ancient auspicious animal that has been used to attract wealth to the house and ward off evil spirits since ancient times. The dark gold color scheme on a black background is calm and atmospheric, and the ancient jacquard creates a relief-like three-dimensional texture. The gilt silk threads between light and shadow are restrained, and the texture is far better than the cheap hot-printed fabric shells on the market. Equipped with a fully frosted TPU soft shell, the real machine has a 1:1 mold opening with precise openings, and the heightened lens ring provides all-round protection against bumps. The natural silk brocade surface is skin-friendly and dry, resistant to oil and fingerprints, and does not make your hands sweaty or sticky when held. Turn the royal Song brocade used in ancient palaces for high-ranking officials' brocade robes, treasure boxes, and ancient book bindings into portable gifts. It can attract wealth and luck for personal use, and it can be a noble gift for business.

Song brocade is listed as an intangible cultural heritage of mankind. Suzhou Weaving House has been exclusively used by the royal family since the Southern Song Dynasty. Modern skills are on the verge of being lost. Qian Xiaoping, as the only national intangible inheritor of Song brocade, has spent half his life looking through the collection of ancient brocade fragments, dismantling lost weaving structures, and restoring many extinct ancient brocade patterns. The black background unicorn brocade was copied from Han and Tang brocade fragments and Ming and Qing palace brocades. Qilin is the top auspicious animal in Chinese tradition. Ancient books record that Qilin brings good luck, prospers business, and blocks disputes. In ancient times, only princes and nobles could wear Qilin-patterned brocade materials, which were mostly used in court clothes, carry-on kits, and packages for valuable collections. A piece of Song brocade has gone through more than 20 processes of silk reeling, dyeing, cross-stitching, and hand-weaving on a wooden machine. The old-fashioned loom can only weave about 5cm of brocade in a single day. The weaving time of auspicious animal patterns doubles, and the finished fabric is scarce and precious. The designer condensed the Kirin Song brocade restored by Master Qian Xiaoping into a square-inch phone case, allowing the thousand-year-old auspicious beast brocade to be hidden in the museum into modern daily life.
