A petite shell handbag framed in blush pebbled top-grain leather and inset with Lu Meiying's handwoven Dunhuang Baoxiang Flower Song brocade. The rounded zip-top shape has protective leather feet, a short handle and side rings for an optional removable crossbody strap. It holds a phone, lipstick, compact, keys and sunglasses.
Inspired by the Mogao Cave murals, the Baoxiang flower blends lotus, peony and scrolling leaves into a Tang-style emblem of abundance and harmony. Heritage artisan Lu Meiying uses soft pink, teal, green and pale-gold silk yarns to weave the motif by the traditional discontinuous-weft method, joining a thousand years of Dunhuang aesthetics with a modern shell bag.
