Layered gilt bamboo glows over a deep navy ground, while the removable amber-and-jade tassel adds a traditional accent. The Mingxuan Bamboo Shadows motif draws on Ming- and Qing-era literati bamboo painting. Bamboo represents integrity, resilience and step-by-step advancement. Woven by Shangjiukai with layered gilt yarn using the traditional discontinuous-weft method, the heritage textile is adapted here into an easy everyday bag without losing its cultural and collectible character.
